URUGUAY: A GREAT DTV PROJECT IS COMPLETED IN MONTEVIDEO A complex project for the broadcasting of eight ISDB-T DTV channels has been completed in the city of Montevideo (Uruguay). The antenna system and the passive devices for the channel combining and high power switching have been supplied by RYMSA RF.

The antenna system is ready to handle the power generated by eight transmitters of 6kW RMS each; it supplies elliptical polarization in order to maximize the indoors reception within the coverage area, and can be worked either in complete or half antenna mode.

URUGUAY: A GREAT DTV PROJECT IS COMPLETED IN MONTEVIDEOThe channel combiner, designed to be fed with the above mentioned power levels and to work with adjacent channels, may be operated either in complete mode or split in two halves, and can be switched from the total antenna system to its two half sections. A patch panel system with ten ports and five u-links, built in 6 1/8" coaxial technique, enables to select all the mentioned configurations.

The installation was successfully set on service with full power during the past month of September, after an exhaustive test protocol carried out on site by a RYMSA RF engineer.

THE PHILIPPINES: TV UHF ANTENNA SYSTEM AND CHANNELO COMBINER FOR 120 kW Last August, RYMSA RF completed the installation of a very high power UHF TV system in the Antipolo transmitting site of Manila (The Philippines).

The scope of supply, whose installation was supervised on-site by a RYMSA RF engineer, includes a UHF broadband dual-feed antenna system, a patch panel divider, a channel combiner ready to work with 60 + 60 kW and all the necessary interconnecting elements.

THE PHILIPPINES: TV UHF ANTENNA SYSTEM AND CHANNELO COMBINER FOR 120 kWEach of the twenty four panels composing the antenna system displays 1 5/8" input connector, and in the rest of the previously mentioned equipments, 6 1/8" coaxial equipment (both flexible and rigid) is combined with high-power WR1500 waveguide, with the aim of ensuring the reliability of the high power operations involved.

The satisfactory completion of this project constitutes a new highlight to RYMSA RF wide history of outstanding Broadcast jobs performed around the world.

SUPPLY OF FM CHANNEL COMBINERS FOR 116 SITES IN TURKEY.

 




SUPPLY OF FM CHANNEL COMBINERS FOR 116 SITES IN TURKEY RYMSA RF has recently completed the supply of FM channel combiners for one hundred and sixteen (116) transmitting sites in Turkey.

Every unit was intended to combine four (4) FM programs, with a minimum frequency spacing of 1.5 MHz, 5 kW total output power and minimizing room volume occupation. RYMSA RF chose to propose the supply of star-point tetraplexers built with three-pole bandpass filters.

Post-award customer requests led to the need of supplying a certain amount of the combiners working for channel spacing below the 1.5 MHz initially specified. During the lab tuning process, our technicians achieved very good features on the affected units, with frequency spacing down to 1.0MHz, and no modification at all of the original design. The equipment was verified and accepted by the customer to its entire satisfaction on the final factory tests.

AZERBAIJAN: STARTING UP A DTV DEPLOYMENT.

 




RYMSA RF COMPLETES A NEW PROJECT INVOLVING HIGH POWER CHANNEL COMBINERS With the recent visit of our technicians to the site of Duzdag, it has been completed the installation of the first UHF antenna system for a new deployment of digital TV led by RYMSA RF, this time in Azerbaijan.

The new antenna, supplied and installed by RYMSA RF, is now ready for operation with six digital TV transmitters of 2kW each. Three other sites, which installations shall be starting shortly, are part of this project that places RYMSA RF as a most relevant supplier of of complete solutions for digital TV antenna systems on an international basis.

RYMSA RF COMPLETES A NEW PROJECT INVOLVING HIGH POWER CHANNEL COMBINERS RYMSA RF recently supplied equipments to combine DTV channels at four sites in Mexico: Aguascalientes, Cuernavaca, San Luis Potosí and Jocotitlan.

These installations required very stringent specifications in terms of high altitude, adjacent channels and high power handling, with transmitters operating at 4kW, 6kW, and 12kW depending on each location.

The combiner installed in Jocotitlan site (in the pic) results the most outstanding of the batch, since it is working at 3,900m altitude (13,000ft) with three DTV transmitters of 12kW each, and adjacent channels.

The trust that our customers place in us for this kind of projects ratifies RYMSA RF leadership as a prime supplier of equipment for digital TV deployments.

WORKSHOP IN THAILAND ABOUT DTV.

 




WORKSHOP IN THAILAND ABOUT DTV The Spanish broadcast manufacturer RYMSA RF recently organized a seminar in Thailand which attracted outstanding attention from most of the relevant TV players in the country. Thailand previsions are to complete the switchover to digital TV on 2017 and the broadcasters are beginning to deploy throughout the country.

The event, a master class about gap filler & low power antenna system for DTV, took place on last April 24th and 25th at Intercontinental Bangkok Hotel. RYMSA RF had the chance to introduce the advantages of its antenna systems and channel combiners to carry out these type of deployments and the event became a very successful conference honored by the attendance of an extensive group of professionals belonging to TV stations and infrastructure operators in the country.

MAIN FM ANTENNA SYSTEMS IN TORRE COLLSEROLA RENOVATED BY RYMSA RF

 




Torre CollserolaA very outstanding job was completed last summer by RYMSA RF in the transmitting site Torre Collserola (Barcelona), consisting of the renovation of the three main existing FM antenna systems, a unique project in the international broadcast market this year.

Each of the systems is sized to work with several FM transmitters, up to a maximum combined power of 150kW. The antenna systems have been designed employing circularly polarized resonant cavities, especially arranged to supply the best radiation pattern on the unusually great diameter existing mast.

Works included the full dismantling of the former antenna systems, transmission lines included, and the complete installation of the new ones with no impact on the broadcast services, to the total customer's satisfaction both in terms of radio electrical performances and fulfillment of the projected schedule.

Torre Collserola transmitting site is a unique facility in Europe, providing terrestrial broadcasting radio and TV programs to more than 5 million people within Barcelona metropolitan area.

RYMSA RF UPGRADES THE INSTALLED HIGH POWER TEST CAPACITIES

 




The aim of ensuring the highest reliability of our designs, prior to launch the final products to the market, has led RYMSA RF to invest in the upgrading of our current high power testing capacities.

The existing facilities have been enhanced by the installation of a UHF transmitting system, which by means of several configurations, can supply high power DTV signals of any bandwidth and modulation standard towards one or two outputs. This way we can test single-input products such as filters as well as channel combiners. The pictures show the transmitting system and the power tests carried out for our DTV 8-pole filter for 11kW RMS.

The main Venezuelan operator Red TV has trusted in RYMSA again. In this opportunity, it has been supplied 10 UHF combined Antenna Systems with slant or inclined polarization at several sites in Venezuela, as Maracabo, El Calvario, Maturin, Cabo Blanco, Puerto Ordaz, Gallinero, Barinas, Vidoño, Valle del Tuy and Mecedores, in where was completed the first phase of network deployment for Digital Terrestrial Television.
